ENTRIES
Entries for the TEENS and CHILDRENS Shemozzle’s open August 1st and close when the races are full.
Entries for the SHEPHERDS’ Shemozzle opens August 1st and entries are accepted on the day if not already full.
Entry forms can be completed online from the Events and Entry Forms section of this website.

Children’s Shemozzle – you must be 9 years old up to and including year 8 (9 years old to 13 years) at Primary school, Intermediate school or NZ correspondence school (Home Educators).
Teens’ Shemozzle – you must be 13 years old to 18 years old (year 9 to year 13 at school) and be enrolled at high school or NZ correspondence school (Home Educators).
Shepherd’s Shemozzle – if you are under 16 you must have your parent’s signed permission to run in the race. You must have a Huntaway fit and able to compete with you. (Not suitable for old Huntaway’s and bitches on heat are not allowed).
NOTE: You may only enter ONE of the above races

Childrens’ Shemozzle – All Children who compete in the race will receive a ‘doggie bag’ with goodies and a Shemozzle Shirt at registration.

Interschool Challenge Winner = Trophy Miniature will be given to the winning school along with $100 cash. Aggregate score of first three home.

2018 ENTRY FEES & PAYMENT
Children’s Shemozzle: $20 per child.
Teens’ Shemozzle: $25 per Teen.
Shepherds’ Shemozzle: $25 early bird entry fee $35 on the day entry fee
Stall Site: $35
Food Stall: $100
Payment by Internet Banking to BNZ, 02-0684-0006453-00
Upon entry and payment being receipted a confirmation email will be made to confirm your spot in the race. If you are competing as part of an inter school team, a confirmation email will be sent to your school asking for confirmation of your attendance, age, year level and permission from your school to compete for your school.
Teen Ag club members who choose to enter their Teen Ag club in the Teen Ag Challenge will be receipted upon entry and payment being received and an email asking for confirmation from Young Farmers that you are a paid member of your selected Teen Ag Club will be sent. Once all information comes back we will confirm your entry.
WHAT TO DO ON RACE DAY
If you are competing in Interschool Challenge or Teen Ag Club you may gain permission from your school to wear school sports uniform. Otherwise old clothes will be fine. Shoes MUST be worn.
ALL Children’s Shemozzle and Teen Shemozzle competitors MUST attend pre race registration in the Hunterville Town Hall on Bruce Street between 10.30am and 12pm.
This is to receive your race number and any items deemed necessary for you to complete the race.
Children’s Shemozzle competitors MUST attend the race briefing at 12:35pm in the Hunterville Town Hall. Check the timetable for start times.
Teen Shemozzle competitors MUST attend the race briefing at 1:40pm in the Hunterville Town Hall. Check the timetable for start times.
Shepherds’ Shemozzle competitors MUST register in the Hunterville Town Hall on Bruce Street between 10.30am and 12pm. Dogs entered MUST be Huntaway.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Showers will be available at the completion of your race at the Rugby Club, Hunterville Domain under the grandstand on Paraketu Street, Hunterville.
All competitors will receive a ‘doggie bag’ and shirt on registration of their race.
